Phish may not have had the roughness or grit to pull off “Curtis Loew” or “Freebird” with authenticity, but here’s one they could tackle with gusto. The lyrics are predictable, and the melody banal, but you’ll recognize “I Know a Little” by the guitar bits at the end of each chorus. The song was delivered with clarity on five known occasions in the late 1980s, then teased twice: before the 4/26/90 encore and in the 7/13/94 “Tweezer.”
