Roundabackcircled Stellar write up for an interstellar show. Thanks. I gotta add that me and several folks in my section thought as Trey played those palm muted scratches that they were coming out with PYITE 2nd set, which of course they masterfully turned with musical kung fu into Mr. Completely. Such a choice inside joke for the phans (or was it just for me IDK?). Whatever blow to my lingering ego the prank created quickly dissolved as they absolutely obliterated that "TAB" song into the transcendent. This new friend that I started vibing with during the show (shout out to Liz from NYC) turned to me, and we were both like "we missed the punch, but we still got the jam!" Such a celebration.

Can't stop listening to the 1st set either. I thought N2 was well crafted but holy balls, I don't know that I've ever witnessed in-person a more perfectly placed and played set than N3 set 1. And like you said, the surprise and the wonder and the mastery just kept going the rest of the night. Just a gift from the ghost and the GOATS. Hugs and high fives all around!

Last thing, some appreciation for this: "Phish has made a good part of their career tricking people with only superficial attention that they’re silly and unserious." Very astute my friend. IMO Phish highlights the absurd, because life is fundamentally absured. The everlasting spoof. But god do they understand and translate all the feels and gravity of life too. And we absolutely GOT IT ALL this weekend! Cheers is a non-commercial project run by Phish fans and for Phish fans under the auspices of the all-volunteer, non-profit Mockingbird Foundation.
